Baseball Recap: Cedar Grove-Belgium's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Cedar Grove-Belgium and St. Joseph squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Cedar Grove-Belgium had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The game marked the first time this season in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Carter Schmitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Cedar Grove-Belgium saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Knight, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
