Volleyball Recap: Lili Klink and Aubrie Gelm Secure Win for Springstead

Springstead won the last time they faced Nature Coast Tech and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 2-0.

Springstead not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Nature Coast Tech to exactly 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18.

Springstead was led to victory by Aubrie Gelm and Lili Klink. Gelm had five digs and four aces, while Klink had six digs. That's the most digs Klink has posted over her last five matches.

Nature Coast Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Gabby Larocca and Talia Bateman. Larocca had 18 digs, while Bateman had eight digs and two aces. Larocca is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Springstead has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Springstead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Crystal River on the 4th. As for Nature Coast Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Angeline Academy of Innovation on the 7th.
