Cascade's loss ends seven-game winning streak at home

If the Cascade Ramblers were feeling good off their 70-40 takedown of the Council Lumberjacks on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cascade received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 57-39 to Camas County. It was the first time this season that Cascade let down their fans at home.

Camas County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Troy Smith, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Camas County's points. Tristen Smith was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Cascade's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Camas County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Non Varsity Opponent has now lost 16 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13. Camas County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Emmett at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Emmett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Camas County is ranked third).
