Softball Recap: Peabody Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

Peabody Veterans Memorial was the 7-1 winner over Gloucester when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tanners fell just short of the Fishermen by a score of 13-12 on Monday.

Liv Guarino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Emerson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and one run.

Peabody Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Gloucester, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Peabody Veterans Memorial will square off against Beverly at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Gloucester, they will face off against Bedford at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
