On Tuesday Alli Persle struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up seven earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits (and only one walk). The effort also marked the fewest walks (one) Persle has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with more than six strikeouts. On the season, she has an ERA of 10.65 over 47.3 innings pitched.
