It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Watervliet can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 40-39 to the Schalmont Sabres. The Cannoneers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Watervliet's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Schalmont, the win snapped their losing streak at 17 games and leaves them with a 2-19 record.

Watervliet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schalmont, they will challenge Hudson at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Hudson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
