Baseball Recap: Penn-Trafford Gets the Win

It was close, but on Wednesday the Penn-Trafford Warriors sidestepped the Riverdale Ridge Ravens for a 4-3 victory.

Penn-Trafford saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Feldman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brayden Stone was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Penn-Trafford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Penn-Trafford now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Riverdale Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Penn-Trafford will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Latrobe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Penn-Trafford's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Riverdale Ridge, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Mountain Range at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Range has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something Riverdale Ridge will no doubt try to take advantage of.
