Football Recap: Libby Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Libby played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 50-26 to the Columbia Falls Wildcats. The Loggers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Libby lost, don't look at Tristan Andersen. Despite the final result, he rushed for 109 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 333 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Andersen also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Loggers are 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Bransen Holzer also helped out with an impressive 170 receiving yards.

Columbia Falls' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trip Ross led the charge by rushing for 148 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 31 receiving yards. Easton Brooks was another key player, picking up 61 receiving yards and three TDs.

Libby's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Columbia Falls, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

As of now, neither Libby nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
