Basketball Game Preview: Kinston Bulldogs vs. Emmanuel Christian Warriors

The Kinston Bulldogs will challenge the Emmanuel Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Kinston and 12 for Emmanuel Christian dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Kinston lost to McKenzie on the road by a 68-52 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Tigers are ranked 195th).

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Christian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 119-11 loss at the hands of Pleasant Home. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 76-6.

Kinston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Emmanuel Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Kinston skirted past Emmanuel Christian 31-28 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Kinston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Emmanuel Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
