Soccer Recap: South East Falls Short of Sultana in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, South East couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Sultana Sultans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Jaguars couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Nathan Castrejon, who's now up to 18 this season.

This is the second loss in a row for South East and nudges their season record down to 21-7. As for Sultana, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

South East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sultana, they will venture away from home to challenge San Pasqual at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Pasqual's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
