Chittenango had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They blew past the East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans 14-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Lauren Machan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Danica Oppenheimer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Hannah Machan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Chittenango was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive matches.

Chittenango's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, Chittenango will be playing in front of their home fans against Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they will square off against Christian Brothers Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
