Baseball Recap: Sandusky Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sandusky lost to Mansfield Senior back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Blue Streaks were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Tygers. Considering the Blue Streaks have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Sandusky's third in a row) raised their record to 10-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Mansfield Senior, they moved to 7-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandusky will face off against St. Joseph Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks are facing the Crimson Streaks at the right time seeing as the Crimson Streaks are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Mansfield Senior, they will take on Madison Comprehensive at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tygers will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Rams will have lost eight straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
