Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Reno County Homeschool

Reno County HomeSchool hadn't done well against Sunrise Christian Academy recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Reno County HomeSchool Sabres came out on top against the Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes by a score of 43-34 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win was all the more spectacular given the Sabres' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 17th).

Reno County HomeSchool has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, they moved to 16-2 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Reno County HomeSchool has already played their next matchup (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sunrise Christian Academy will square off against Hays at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
