Dobie has gone 10-0 against South Houston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dobie Longhorns will take on the South Houston Trojans in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dobie is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Pearland on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dobie took a blow against Pearland, falling 76-26. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Oilers are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, South Houston was beaten by Dawson 82-27 on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

South Houston now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Dobie, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12.

Dobie was able to grind out a solid victory over South Houston in their previous matchup back in February, winning 41-30. Does Dobie have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Houston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
