Baseball Recap: American Fork Has No Trouble Against Coronado

American Fork barely beat Coronado the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. American Fork put the hurt on Coronado with a sharp 11-5 win on Friday. The Cavemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six runs or more this season.

Jayce Christofferson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cache Poulson, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Jones, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

American Fork was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

American Fork's record is now 4-1. As for Coronado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

American Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-1 victory against Taylorsville on the 22nd. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next game, an 8-1 loss against Dixie on the 21st.
