Wheatland-Grinnell piles up the points against Logan/Palco

Recap: Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks vs. Logan/Palco

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Logan/Palco 56-29 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wheatland-Grinnell also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Wheatland-Grinnell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalie Bixenman led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Aliviah Ball was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Logan/Palco still got an impressive performance from Mara Kats, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Delimont, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.

Wheatland-Grinnell's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Logan/Palco, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Wheatland-Grinnell will take on Logan/Palco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Logan/Palco focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
