Basketball Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Comes Up Short

Northside Methodist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 71-55 fall against the Poplar Springs Atomics.

Poplar Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Baron Hall led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Hall is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Hayden Hall was another key player, going 8 of 9 on his way to 18 points along with six boards and three steals.

Northside Methodist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Poplar Springs, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Northside Methodist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-43 loss against Jay on the 19th. Poplar Springs has also already played their next match, a 49-28 defeat against Blountstown on the 19th.
