It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Santa Margarita had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Los Alamitos Griffins. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Santa Margarita pushed their record up to 19-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Los Alamitos, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10-2.

Coming up, Santa Margarita will take on Crespi at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Celts will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Los Alamitos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
