Preview: Loranger Wolves vs. French Settlement Lions
The Loranger Wolves will be home for the holidays to greet the French Settlement Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loranger will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while French Settlement is ranked 88th).
Last Saturday, Loranger was the victim of a tough 53-28 defeat at the hands of Hammond. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Loranger has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Parkview Baptist scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, French Settlement still came out on top. French Settlement enjoyed a cozy 79-65 victory over Parkview Baptist. The victory made it back-to-back wins for French Settlement.
This is the second loss in a row for Loranger and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for French Settlement, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Loranger against French Settlement when the teams last played back in December of 2015 as the squad secured a 63-35 win. Will Loranger repeat their success, or does French Settlement have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
