Basketball Game Preview: Deshler Dragons vs. Lawrence-Nelson Raiders

Deshler and Lawrence-Nelson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Deshler Dragons will face off against the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Deshler didn't have too much trouble with McCool Junction as they won 53-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Lawrence-Nelson was able to grind out a solid victory over Axtell on Saturday, taking the game 29-17.

The win got Deshler back to even at 6-6. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Deshler beat Lawrence-Nelson 50-38 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Deshler since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
