Basketball Recap: Craigmont Comes Up Short

Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 65-52 to the Brighton Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Cardinals are ranked 114th).

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Brighton, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Craigmont will challenge Millington Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Millington Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Raleigh-Egypt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
