Football Recap: Tri-County Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

With a playoff win on the line, Tri-County Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed past the Columbia Academy Cougars to the tune of 44-7. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by 31 points or more this season.

The win (which was Tri-County Academy's eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for Columbia Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Tri-County Academy will face off against Leake Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
