Baseball Recap: Foley Triumphs

Foley proved they can win big on Friday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Aitkin Gobblers 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since June 13, 2024.

Foley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Aitkin, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Foley has already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against St. Cloud Cathedral on the 13th. As for Aitkin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-4 win against Pine City on the 13th.
