Recap: Lenape Indians vs. Eastside Tigers
The Lenape Indians lost against the Eastside Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lenape fell to Eastside 57-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lenape came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Eastside is ranked 62nd).
Eastside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahaan Green, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Love, who scored 12 points.
Lenape's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Lenape's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kingsway at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Eastside, they will square off against Metamora at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
