Volleyball Recap: Gilmour Academy Lancers vs. Archbishop Hoban Knights        
        
		
             Gilmour Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Archbishop Hoban Knights out  3-2 on Saturday. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.
 Gilmour Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 26-24, 31-33,  15-12.
 Leading Gilmour Academy to victory were  Ella Jackson and  Aubrey Anders.  Jackson  had 21  digs, two  kills,  and two  aces, while  Anders  had 31  kills and 16  digs. Jackson is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in the last five games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Marlie Davis, who  had 16  kills, 16  digs,  and two  aces.
 When it comes to explaining why Archbishop Hoban lost, don't look at  Ava Norton. Despite the final result, she  had ten  digs.
 The  victory (which was Gilmour Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-4. As for Archbishop Hoban,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at 26 games  and leaves them with a 26-1 record.
 Gilmour Academy is on the road again  on Thursday to play St. Ursula Academy at 5:00  p.m. St. Ursula Academy will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Gilmour Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Archbishop Hoban does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
