Baseball Recap: Atchison County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Horton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atchison County). They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Horton Chargers on Monday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Atchison County's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Horton, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, Atchison County will head out to take on Jackson Heights on Thursday. The Cobras have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.38 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Horton, they will face off against Troy on Monday.
