Softball Game Preview: Ravenscroft Ravens vs. GRACE Christian Eagles

The Ravenscroft Ravens will head out on the road to square off against the GRACE Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ravenscroft is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 30-20 to Wake Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, GRACE Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Harrells Christian Academy on Monday, taking the game 8-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Addison Vercellino was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. Vercellino was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lydia Lester was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Caroline Gausman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Ravenscroft's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for GRACE Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Ravenscroft might still be hurting after the 22-12 loss they got from GRACE Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Ravenscroft avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
