Soccer Game Preview: Kirkwood vs. Lafayette

Kirkwood is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Ladue Horton Watkins. Kirkwood fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Ladue Horton Watkins since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Lafayette made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lindbergh on Tuesday. They blew past the Flyers 5-0. Considering Lafayette's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kirkwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lafayette, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5.
