Volleyball Game Preview: Jonesboro Hurricane vs. Shiloh Christian Saints

The Jonesboro Hurricane will be taking part in a tournament against the Shiloh Christian Saints at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jonesboro took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on North Little Rock with a sharp 3-0 win. The Hurricane haven't had any issues with the Charging Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-15.

Shiloh Christian won the last time they faced Russellville and Micah Unger did her part to make sure it happened again. The Saints walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cyclones on Thursday thanks in part to Unger, who had five digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Shiloh Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.

Shiloh Christian's win came from a few key players Jonesboro will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bristol Bonanno, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Jonesboro's record now sits at 14-8-1. As for Shiloh Christian, their record is now 14-9-1.
