Tumwater is 8-2 against Aberdeen since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Thunderbirds will take on the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Aberdeen will be up against a hot Tumwater team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Everything went the Thunderbirds' way against Centralia on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-2 victory.
Sarah Stevens made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Megan Barrett, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Fields, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Tumwater lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Aberdeen came out on top against Black Hills on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Bobcats never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly ten runs.
Lilly Camp made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Camp was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI.
In other batting news, Maysinn Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Britten Neal was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.
Tumwater pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Aberdeen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.
Both Tumwater and Aberdeen just can't seem to miss. The Thunderbirds have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Aberdeen struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tumwater came out on top in a nail-biter against Aberdeen in their previous matchup on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
