Basketball Game Preview: Fordham Prep Rams vs. St. Edmund Prep Eagles

The Fordham Prep Rams will head out to challenge the St. Edmund Prep Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Edmund Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fordham Prep, who comes in off a win.

On Sunday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fordham Prep beat Monsignor Farrell 55-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Brian Kapfer was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 62% from the field on his way to 26 points and seven rebounds. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Jven Encarnacion was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, St. Edmund Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 50-45 to Moore Catholic.

Fordham Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Edmund Prep, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1.

Fordham Prep came up short against St. Edmund Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 67-55. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
