Basketball Recap: Cactus Takes a Loss

Cactus lost against Bradshaw Mountain back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cactus Cobras received a blow as they fell 63-47 to the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Cactus still got an impressive performance from Xavier Ledet, who went 9 for 22 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ledet a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Kalinowski, who posted six points.

Cactus' record is now 1-5. As for Bradshaw Mountain, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Cactus will venture away from home to square off against Poston Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cactus is facing Poston Butte at the right time seeing as Poston Butte is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Bradshaw Mountain will take on Mohave in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Bradshaw Mountain will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Mohave will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
