Soccer Game Preview: Yulee vs. Andrew Jackson

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Yulee Hornets will head out to take on the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yulee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Yulee's offense. They lost 13-0 to Episcopal School of Jacksonville two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Eagles are ranked 155th).

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Baldwin an easy 3-0 victory. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Yulee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Andrew Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1.

Yulee took their win against Andrew Jackson in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 9-0. Does Yulee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Andrew Jackson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
