Baseball Recap: Clarkstown North Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Clarkstown North's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Somers Tuskers with a sharp 11-3 victory. Considering the Rams' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Michael Rosenblum was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Dillon Cass was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Clarkstown North's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Somers, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Clarkstown North is taking a road trip to take on Nanuet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Golden Knights have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Somers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Jay at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
