Kennedy is 0-10 against Newark Memorial since March of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Newark Memorial will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Kennedy extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. Everything went the Titans' way against American as they made off with a 13-1 win.

Madelyn Montague and Marilyn Rivas made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Montague pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rivas pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Montague has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Montague scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Rivas went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Hannah Cornell was incredible, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliette Dekker, who scored three runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Newark Memorial made easy work of Washington on Tuesday and carried off a 19-4 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Andrea Tall was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Mahlyah Sao, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Newark Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, their record is now 6-2.
Kennedy came up short against Newark Memorial when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 4-0. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
