Basketball Game Preview: St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins vs. Middletown Mustangs

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins will venture away from home to square off against the Middletown Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out El Cerrito 55-52. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Gauchos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Middletown entered their tilt with Mission San Jose on Saturday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over the Warriors.

Middletown's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
