Weldon Valley can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against the Briggsdale Falcons as they made off with a 16-8 win. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Weldon Valley got a massive performance out of Devin Quint, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Quint a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Johnson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Weldon Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Weldon Valley's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Briggsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Weldon Valley and Briggsdale will both be playing Front Range Baptist the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Warriors will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
