Basketball Game Preview: Flinthills Mustangs vs. West Elk Patriots

Flinthills hasn't had much luck against West Elk recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Flinthills Mustangs will face off against the West Elk Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Flinthills strolled past Argonia with points to spare, taking the game 51-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, West Elk waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 60-29 win over the Bluejays.

West Elk pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Flinthills, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Things could have been worse for Flinthills, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-36 loss to West Elk in their previous meeting back in January. Can Flinthills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
