Baseball Recap: Wenatchee Takes a Loss

Wenatchee fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Moses Lake on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 9-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nolan Godfrey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Owen Ervin, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Wenatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Moses Lake, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wenatchee will take on Stanwood at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Moses Lake, they will square off against Davis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
