Volleyball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Takes Down Delaware Valley Classical in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holly Grove Christian had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Delaware Valley Classical Titans.

Holly Grove Christian didn't let Delaware Valley Classical take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Emily Nguyen paced Holly Grove Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Nguyen got some help from Anna Leimbach and her 17 assists. Emily Shin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Holly Grove Christian's victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Delaware Valley Classical, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
