Volleyball Recap: Kenna Oligmueller Key Part of Team Effort in Blue Devils Win

After losing to Howells-Dodge the last time they met, Wynot decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Wynot had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21, 25-18.

Wynot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenna Oligmueller led the charge by getting 20 digs and 15 kills. Oligmueller is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season. Haley Wieseler was another key player, getting 25 assists and 17 digs.

Wynot's record is now 8-1. As for Howells-Dodge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Wynot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on the 15th. As for Howells-Dodge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wakefield on the 16th.
