Bloomfield scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Shiprock Chieftains by a score of 19-18. The Bobcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it ten in a row.

Bloomfield got a massive performance out of Harley Rightmire, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-6. Alina Pinon was another key player, scoring a run while going 4-for-5.

Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Shiprock, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Coming up, Bloomfield will venture away from home to take on Albuquerque Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shiprock, they will welcome Aztec at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
