Basketball Recap: East Marion Eagles vs. Salem Wildcats
The East Marion Eagles entered their tilt with the Salem Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. East Marion took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-27 victory over the Wildcats. That's another feather in the cap for East Marion, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jakeria McCloud had a dynamite game for East Marion, scoring 18 points along with five steals. McCloud has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylie Watts, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
East Marion is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Salem, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
East Marion will head out on the road to take on the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
