Softball Recap: Morse's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of five wins, Morse's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 6-3 to the Mission Bay Buccaneers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Morse saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reylyn Sakamoto, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Morse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Mission Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Morse is taking a road trip to take on Coronado at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mission Bay, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Crawford at 4:00 p.m.
