Basketball Recap: Tahlequah Comes Up Short

Tahlequah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Will Rogers College Ropers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Ropers are ranked 50th).

Tahlequah's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Will Rogers College, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tahlequah has already played their next game (against Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Will Rogers College won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Durant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
