After flying high against San Dieguito Academy last Tuesday, Mission Vista came back down to earth. Mission Vista lost 3-0 to the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens on Tuesday. Mission Vista's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mission Vista was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Merrick Swenson and Tillman Rexrode, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Cody Krohn and his 21 assists. Finally, he was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Mission Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Canyon Crest Academy, their victory was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 33-0.

Mission Vista has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sage Creek on the 24th. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against San Dieguito Academy on the 24th.
