Football Recap: Giselle Murga and Belen Ibarra Pace Pomona Defense

Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 18-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Springs COYOTES. On the bright side, the eight- point performance marked the Red Devils' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Even if they lost, Pomona's defense still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Giselle Murga and Belen Ibarra, who racked up all seven sacks between them.

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Indian Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Pomona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-0 loss against Workman on the 17th. As for Indian Springs, they will welcome Serrano at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
