Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Flowing Wells waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Maricopa Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Caballeros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eleana Parsons made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Parsons wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Vivian Castaneda, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double was Castaneda's first of the season. Another was Giavani Siaz, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Flowing Wells' record is now 9-11. As for Maricopa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flowing Wells will face off against Desert View at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maricopa, they will take on Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountain Lions have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
