Murray was forced to take a big loss against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the West Jordan Jaguars. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Jaguars on Monday, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Not much got past Bode Gladhart, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep West Jordan off the board. Gladhart has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Murray is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for West Jordan, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Jaguars beat Murray by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday.
