Preview: Bishop Kelly Knights vs. Emmett Huskies
Bishop Kelly is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Emmett is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bishop Kelly Knights will take on the Emmett Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bishop Kelly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Vallivue on the road to the tune of 72-26. Bishop Kelly has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Emmett beat Caldwell 40-35 on Thursday.
Emmett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalie Goslin led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Goslin has scored at least a third of Emmett's points. Another player making a difference was Erin Hadley, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Bishop Kelly has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Emmett, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
